We're 200% funded, and we hit $60,000! That means we've unlocked ANOTHER stretch goal!
We'll now include a cardboard Crown Card game mat specifically for the Crown Card minigame. This will allow the Crown Card minigame to be more fun and exciting for everyone. Check out Ryan's design for it!

We were selected as Mom Blogger Pick of the Baby Show! Out of all the Baby Show participants, we were one of the outstanding exhibitors at the event, and we're super proud to have been awarded this honor.

We're not just project creators––we're project backers, too! We noticed a cool project called Grimshade, and we think you should check it out.
Grimshade tells a grim but fascinating story about a fantasy world, tinged with a steampunk vibe, called Ree'Fah. Once upon a time people and Eleores, an ancient race of anthropomorphic animals lived there in harmony. An attack by supernatural creatures called Umbrages plunged the world into an age of war, and the one previously united nation was broken up into three warring states. The Eleores were on the verge of extinction. Many years have passed by, and the Umbrages have now returned. A group of characters which is led by the player is faced with a challenge. They must learn to get along with one another, halt the invasion and save the world from its impending downfall.

We have an exciting announcement for everyone today: we've got official, branded, Story Time Chess T-Shirts available! You can now rock the styles of either King or Queen in Story Time Chess.
Shirts are available in three age groups:
Ages 2-6
Ages 8-12
Adults
Shirts are available for the following characters:
King Chomper
King Shaky
Queen Bella
Queen Allegra
How do I get one (or more!)
If you'd like a shirt, all you have to do is add $25 to your pledge for each shirt you'd like before the campaign ends. When we send out the surveys after the campaign ends, we'll collect sizing and style information.
You don't have to cancel or change your pledge level. Just add an extra $25 on top of your pledge for each shirt you would like.

We've unlocked another stretch goal! This time, we're adding more Crown Cards to the Crown Card Minigame!
Some of you have asked: what's the Crown Card Minigame? Well, it's a special game we've designed to get children learning more about chess by using all of the pieces in different ways. Some children fall in love with one or two chess pieces, and as a result only uses those pieces when they play. The Crown Card Minigame breaks these habits and encourages children to use every piece.
The game starts by setting up the full chess board. After that, each player draws a Crown Card and has to achieve its goal. When they do, they gain a Crown Card Token and get a new Crown Card goal to achieve. The first player to five tokens wins!
It's a silly game designed to get children excited about new pieces. Take a look at one of our players from the NY Baby Show:

Our First Stretch Goal!
Once we hit $45,000, we'll unlock our first stretch goal–upgrading the cardboard tray that comes with the box to a plastic one to better hold all the pieces in Story Time Chess. The product will be more durable and better hold up to the wear and tear that normally happens with children's toys.
